A Tullytown Borough man who previously worked as a school bus driver pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two teenage boys.
John Michael Evans, 40, of Tullytown’s Levittown section, pleaded guilty to two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and one count of sex trafficking of a minor before Bucks County Judge Raymond McHugh Tuesday morning, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

Evans had sentencing deferred for 30 days so he can undergo an evaluation by the Sex Offender Assessment Board.
According to authorities, the 40 year old man abused the two teens separately. One of the boys was a foster child placed in the care of Evans and his wife.
The foster child, who was 16 at the time of the abuse, was placed in the care of the Evans family in April 2020 and the sexual abuse began not long after and continued until June, authorities said.

Deputy District Attorney Mary Kate Kohler said in court that the foster child relayed that Evans’ sexual abuse happened “too many times to count.”
The sexual abuse often occurred when Evans gave him alcohol or money for marijuana, Tullytown Borough police said.

The foster child said Evans had nude photos of him and set up sexual encounters with other men that included the teen. Evans told the teen to tell the men that he had graduated high school, according to police.
Evans reportedly told the boy he had sexually abused another boy and no one would believe him if he went to authorities.
The second victim – a 17-year-old boy – first reported his abuse by Evans to authorities in December 2019.

The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said the 17 year old’s report of sexual abuse was not able to be corroborated at the time, but the second boy coming forward pushed the case forward and led to charges being filed last June.
Evans worked as a bus driver in both the Bristol Township and Pennsbury school districts. He also previously coached youth sports in the Levittown area.
