A Tullytown Borough bus driver has been charged with sexually abusing two teen boys.
John Michael Evans, 40, of Tullytown’s Levittown section, was charged Tuesday afternoon with two counts of rape by forcible compulsion, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, trafficking in minors, endangering the welfare of children, indecent assault without consent, sexual assault, and single counts of sexual exploitation of children, child pornography, and related offenses.

Evans, according to authorities, abused the two teens separately. One of the boys was a foster child placed in the care of Evans and his wife.
The one boy, who was 16 at the time of the abuse, said he was placed in Evans’ care in April and sexual abuse began shortly after, police said.
The boy said Evans had nude photos of him and set up sexual encounters with other men that included the teen, telling the boy to inform the men that he had graduated high school, according to police.

The abuse was so common it happened “too many times to count,” often with Evans providing him with alcohol or money for marijuana, police said.
The boy said the COVID-19 shutdown made Evans stay home from work and have access to him more often, court papers stated.

The boy said the fact that he was a foster child made him believe he had nowhere to go and that no one would believe him, according to police.
The second victim, a 17-year-old boy, reported his abuse by Evans in December. He said the abuse happened a number of times and Evans told him to just “let it happen,” police said.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said the 17 year old’s report was not able to be corroborated late last year, but the second boy coming forward pushed the case forward and led to charges being filed.

Evans reportedly informed the 16-year-old boy about abuse of the other teen and said no one would believe either boy if they told anyone what happened, police said.
Authorities believe Evans had “extensive contact” with minors through his jobs as bus drivers in the Bristol Township and Pennsbury school districts. It also appears that Evans was also involved in youth sports.

“These two young men have probably spared more victims from abuse at the hands of this serial child predator by bravely coming forward to police about how he victimized them,” said District Attorney Matt Weintraub. “I am sorry that they had to suffer this horrific abuse. We owe them a tremendous debt for their bravery.”

Evans was arraigned before District Judge Robert Wagner Jr. and bail was set at $500,000.
