The annual Brews and Bites event will take place al fresco from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, at Pennsbury Manor in Falls Township.
The gathering features local drink tastings, food trucks, and live music from the classic rock and Motown band AUGUST.
Penn established a brew house on the property in the 1680s, and Pennsbury Manor will offer samples of beer brewed directly on the historic site.

“William Penn understood the importance of brewing long before Pennsylvania had a craft beer scene,” Pennsbury Manor Site Director Doug Miller said. “At Brews and Bites, we celebrate that 300-year-old tradition in a way that feels lively and current โ with local tastings, live music, and support for Pennsbury Manorโs education programs.”
A new feature at this year’s event is a historical beer recreation by Aristaeus Craft Brewing Company.

In a collaboration with Pennsbury Manor, the brewery produced “1681,” an apple beer based on a 17th-century family recipe by William Pennโs first wife, Gulielma.
Attendees can also sample other historical recipe beers crafted by Pennsburyโs brewing club, Quakers Behaving Badley. The club’s historic highlights include a Pumpkin Beer, a Peppercorn Coriander Beer, and a Philadelphia Brown Ale.

In addition to Aristaeus Craft Brewing Company, breweries, wineries, and distilleries taking part include Booโs Brew, Broad Street Brewing, Broken Goblet Brewing, Chaddsford Winery, Evil Genius Beer Company, Manic Minds Brewing Company, Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company, Philadelphia Mead Company, Revolution Bees Mead, Rivertide Brewing, Triple Sun Spirits, and Vault Brewing Company.
