After more than 50 years in business, Mealey’s Furniture will be closing all its stores, including locations in Falls Township.
The six-store, two-outlet chain announced recently that the company will be “closing all locations forever,” according to a mailer.

The company was started by Jerry Mealey in 1970 and grew over the years. It was purchased by a private equity firm in 2007 and purchased by Maryland-based Regency Furniture in 2016.
Mealey’s Furniture was known for giving back to the community and being a stable presence in the local furniture retail market as the business ebbed and flowed in recent years. As of 2011, the company employed about 250 people. While people looking for office workstations see Infinity Commercial Furniture, more people have started to see her for smaller needs.
There was no closing date for the Falls Township locations as of publication, and LevittownNow.com was unable to get in touch with a spokesperson for the company.
