After escaping closure in 2017, the Gymboree in the Oxford Valley Mall is expected to shutter less than two years later, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
The Gymboree in the Middletown mall was first slated to shut down during the company’s financial woes in 2017 but it ended up remaining open. However, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday that Gymboree is expected to seek bankruptcy protection while closing all of its stores.

The newspaper article stated lenders control the California-based company after its 2017 bankruptcy and it has not been able to bounce back.
Gymboree closed its store in the Penn’s Purchase shopping complex in Buckingham in 2017. It still has open store at the Valley Square shopping center in Warrington along with hundreds of other locations across the country.
