• Name: Michael Moore
• Hometown: I grew up in Levittown, PA. I now reside in Holland, PA.
• What is your role for Paul Davis Restoration & Renovations: I am the General Manager of the company.
• How did you get started in the business? “In December of 2009, I graduated from Pennco Tech’s HVAC program. I had a job in that field lined up to start but that wouldn’t be until March of 2010. At that time, our owner, Mike Lees, was still in the start-up phase of building Accusource Services, LLC. Accusource Services, LLC was a small, family-owned mom and pop restoration business that basically had 4 employees at the time. Looking to make some money in the meantime, I reached out to Mike to see if he could use any help with his new business venture. I had known Mike previously through some friends. Mike, graciously, gave me an opportunity and I worked for Accusource Services doing outside sales and business development. Slowly but surely, our company began to grow, and I became fascinated with the industry. In 2013, Accusource Services, LLC partnered with a nationally recognized and respected brand and became Paul Davis Restoration of Bucks County. Since then, I continued my growth and experience and have worked my way up to the position that I am in today.”
• What do you like about the job? “The most rewarding thing about my job is my ability to connect with people. I take a lot of pride in not only being able to help people and provide quality service to them during their time of need but also being proactive in putting them at ease and exuding to them the trust and confidence that everything will be OK.”
• How have you worked to overcome challenges and make customers happy? “I find that communication is key. First and foremost, you have to genuinely care. You have to care about the people you provide service to, the people you provide service for, and the quality of service that you are providing. If you care, then most challenges can be mitigated with honest and direct communication. Whether it’s setting expectations upfront, being available to answer questions or concerns when someone needs you, or continually checking in throughout the project to make sure that the customer fully understands where they are in the process. Good communication usually makes any challenge that much more manageable.”
• What is one big challenge you’ve faced in your job? “I absolutely love my community! In addition to working here, I am heavily involved with the local schools and many youth sports programs with my children. Through these experiences, I come across countless families on a daily basis. Many of whom I have been able to provide service to throughout the years. There’s no greater feeling than having someone refer a friend or family member to you in your community with the excitement and confidence to know that they are in good hands.”
• What is it like working in the community where you live? “It is a pleasure to help and serve people in my community.”
• Favorite or most motivating quote? “You are who you are when no one is watching. What you do… How you treat people… What you represent… when there’s no one around and nothing to gain. That’s who you really are.”
