A fatal house fire that happened Wednesday afternoon in the Bensalem Township’s Andalusia section claimed the life a man.

The victim was identified as William Egenolf ,72, Bucks County Coroner Patti Campi told Patch.com.
Campi said, according to the article, that Egenolf died from smoke and soot inhalation. She ruled the death accidental.
Bensalem Township police and firefighters responded to the scene on Whittier Avenue at approximately 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a house fire.

Vrews worked quickly to extinguish the blaze, but Egenolf died as a result of the fire, officials said.
The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by Bensalem Township fire investigators and police detectives.
