Milling and repair work will cause lane closures and likely traffic delays at two locations in Middletown Township this week, according to PennDOT.

In the Levittown section of the township, crews will conduct milling operations along Woodbourne Road between Cobalt Ridge Drive and Big Oak Road. The work will force an overnight lane closure with flagging starting Monday, Sept. 14, through Friday, Sept. 18, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
In addition, contractors will perform pothole repairs on eastbound I-295 over Route 1. A lane closure will be in effect on the overpass from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, until 5 a.m. Wednesday.
State officials warned motorists to plan for backups and give extra travel time when moving through both work zones.

All scheduled work is dependent on weather conditions.
PennDOT said the work is part of its regional program to rehabilitate more than 240 miles of state highways.
PennDOT said the new asphalt surface is designed to seal the roads, creating a safer and smoother drive for motorists.
State transportation officials have announced additional road work this week in the area.
