Lower Bucks County residents will gather Friday to mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with public remembrance events.

Observances are scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. at the Garden of Reflection on Woodside Road in Lower Makefield Township. The morning ceremony will follow the chronological timeline of the 2001 attacks, incorporating bell tolling, readings, and moments of silence observed at the precise times each hijacked plane crashed.

The Garden of Reflection will hold a second ceremony later in the day, beginning at 6 p.m. and concluding by sunset.
In Tullytown Borough, a 6:30 p.m. ceremony will take place at the public Sept. 11 memorial behind the Tullytown Fire Company station on Main Street. Keynote speaker Amy Austin will address attendees, alongside a musical tribute by the Men of Harmony, a vocal performance by Colleen Mellor, and songs highlighting the spirit of America performed by Chris Greiner.

The Edgely Fire Company will provide a space for quiet contemplation at its Sept. 11 memorial on the side of the fire station on Edgely Road in Bristol Township. The site remains open to members of the public seeking to pay their respects.
The events will honor the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.
