An online meeting turned into a middle-of-the-night ambush, leaving a man robbed at knifepoint and police following a trail of Venmo transfers and pinging AirPods straight to a suspect, according to court papers filed this month.

Clayton Douglas Glenn Jr., 19, of Bristol Township, was charged this week with several counts of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery following an investigation into the June 4 attack.
Bristol Township police were called to investigate a reported robbery around 12:33 a.m. on June 4.
A man told officers he had agreed to meet a user from the social media app Snapchat for money in the 1200 block of Marie Lowe Drive.

Upon arrival in the neighborhood, the man reported he was ambushed by two unknown people wearing hoods, one of whom wore a mask over his face, police said.
The man reported being punched, kicked, and choked before one of the assailants pulled a knife.

The suspects threatened to kill the man if he did not remain quiet and demanded his personal belongings, including his iPhone 16 and passcode, police said.
After obtaining access to the device, the attackers transferred $600 out of the man’s bank account, police said.
An investigator identified Glenn as a suspect after tracing the Venmo account used to transfer the stolen funds, police said.
Glenn matched the description of one of the attackers, police said.

The investigation gained new momentum earlier this week when the man who was attacked notified an officer that his stolen AirPods were actively pinging in the area of the 1200 block of Marie Lowe Drive, police said.
Officers executed a search warrant Tuesday at a home in that neighborhood.

Officers located both the AirPods and an iPhone 16 matching the description of the stolen phone, police said.
According to authorities, Glenn confirmed that he slept in the bed where the AirPods were discovered. A second occupant of the residence told officers that Glenn had given him the iPhone a month prior.

Glenn was preliminarily arraigned before District Judge Kevin Wagner and remanded to custody after failing to post 10 percent of his $50,000 bail.
No charges have been filed against the second attacker as of this week.
