Several towns across the Levittown area are taking part on Tuesday, Aug. 4, in the annual National Night Out celebration.

Participating communities this year include Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Falls Township, Middletown Township, and Tullytown Borough.
Established in 1984, National Night Out is held every year on the first Tuesday of August to foster neighborhood unity and provide crime prevention education. Organizers estimate the tradition draws approximately 38 million participants across the United States, Canada, and American military bases around the globe.
In Bristol Borough, festivities run from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Snyder Girotti Elementary School. The gathering will feature local police officers, emergency vehicles, community resource booths, face painting, a bounce house, and music from a DJ.

Bristol Township will host its event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Community Park, located at 2501 Bath Road. Alongside township police officers and emergency crews, the event will offer bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, a photo booth, and balloon creations. Law enforcement officers from Tullytown Borough, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Amtrak Police Department will also be present.
In Falls Township, festivities take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Community Park, 9125 Mill Creek Road. Attending residents can expect police personnel, vendors, music, and an evening of community fun.

Middletown Township has scheduled its gathering from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Municipal Complex, 5 Municipal Way. Highlights include K-9 and motorcycle demonstrations, meet-and-greets with police officers and EMTs, games, raffles, crafts, music, local nonprofits, and food trucks.
Officials with the Penndel Borough Police Department announced that their scheduled National Night Out event has been cancelled.
