Levittown Man Burglarized Same Business Twice, Cops Say

A Levittown man was arrested by Bensalem Township police after they responded to a burglary call.

David Adamek, 42, was taken into custody Saturday, July 25, after Bensalem Township police officers caught him tucked beneath the wheel well of a trailer near the loading dock of Hot Deal Liquidation in the 3100 block of Knights Road.

Officers responded to the store around 6 a.m. for a burglary-in-progress report.

At the business, responding officers discovered an open door to the building, police said.

Surveillance video captured Adamek forcing entry into the building, which tripped the store’s alarm, police said.

The fast response by officers prevented Adamek from fleeing the store, police said.

While being questioned, detectives found Adamek in possession of items connected to a previous break-in at the same business on May 26, according to authorities.

Police said Adamek admitted to committing the May and July burglaries and directed investigators to the location of a safe stolen in the first burglary.

Adamek is charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, possession of an instrument of crime, possession of a controlled substance, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. He came before District Judge Kevin Wagner and bail was set at 10 percent of $100,000.

Adamek was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
