A bad breakup ended up leading to Bristol Township police filing charges against a young man.

A 20-year-old Bristol Township man was charged last Friday with robbery, criminal mischief, and harassment.
Bristol Township police responded at 5:25 p.m. on Monday, July 13, to a home on Granite Road in Levittown after a woman reported ongoing harassment by her former boyfriend of three years.
The woman told officers she had ended the relationship more than a month earlier, but the suspect continued to call her repeatedly.

The woman relayed to investigators that she met with the 20-year-old man at his residence on July 11 to discuss the breakup, police said.
During the meeting, the 20-year-old man wrestled her phone away from his ex-girlfriend and held it out of reach before smashing it on his porch using a scooter that belonged to the woman. He then walked off with the scooter, broke it, and threw it into a parking lot, police said.

The woman informed an officer that the man continued “blowing her phone up” following the encounter.
In a phone conversation, the 20-year-old man allegedly threatened to disconnect her electricity and destroy her home.
Police said the woman also reported seeing the 20-year-old man repeatedly driving by in a BMW.
Shortly after officers responded to Granite Road, a neighbor on nearby Greenbriar Road reported being followed home by a BMW.

The neighbor, who was sitting outside with her husband, said they heard a car horn sound in front of the house, police said.
When the couple went outside, the BMW sped away from Granite Road and passed the home several times, police said.

The driver threw a cigarette container out the window at the neighbor’s husband, police said.
The 20-year-old man was preliminarily arraigned and released after posting 10 percent of $25,000 bail.
