Driver In Plateless SUV Flees State Police On I-95

A late-night traffic stop turned into a high speed pursuit on I-95 earlier this month, state police reported.

Troopers on patrol spotted a silver Dodge Durango traveling southbound on I-95 in Bristol Township at approximately 12:16 a.m. on June 5.

The SUV was being driven with no license plate displayed and was committing multiple violations of the state vehicle code, according to a Pennsylvania State Police press release.

When troopers attempted to pull the Durango over, the driver failed to yield and instead accelerated to a high rate of speed.

The state police pursuit traveled down the southbound lanes of the highway.

State police said troopers made the decision to terminate the pursuit out of concern for public safety after a short time

The driver has not been identified, and state police did not report any arrests.

According to state data, state and local police reported 119 pursuits in Bucks County in 2025, a drop of 10 from 2024. Of those 119 pursuits, there were 33 apprehensions and 14 crashes, with three injuries reported.
