Super Bowl LX, the February matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, ranks as the second most-watched NFL game in television history.

However, federal records reviewed by LevittownNow.com reveal the broadcast was not without its detractors who wanted the government to intervene after the halftime show.

According to data from NBC and Peacock, the halftime performance headlined by Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny averaged 128.2 million viewers and the game reached a peak of 137.8 million viewers. The performance has continued to draw a large audience online and reached nearly 140 million views on YouTube as of this week.

The choice of one of the world’s most popular musical artists for the halftime show sparked backlash from some viewers.

At the time, political commentators criticized the artist for performing in Spanish, the nature of his lyrics, and speculated over his politics.

The controversy led to a counter-program titled the “All-American Halftime Show,” which featured Kid Rock, Lee Brice, and other artists. The alternative broadcast drew 6.4 million live viewers across YouTube and Rumble, according to The New York Times. As of this week, the pre-recorded alternative performance has reached 21 million total views.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which receives viewer complaints about broadcasts, made public last week the formal complaints filed with the agency after the Super Bowl.

Documents obtained by LevittownNow.com show that while some viewers contacted the agency regarding issues with closed captioning or signal interference, a significant portion of the complaints from Pennsylvania focused on Bad Bunnyโ€™s performance.

Below are the complaints submitted to the FCC by residents of Pennsylvania

(These complaints were released by the FCC and have not been significantly edited for content or grammar.)

Langhorne: “Here are some of the lyrics translated into English from Bad Bunny’s half time show: I have a lot of girlfriends, smile if I already stuck it in you The one from Barcelona said my dick is cool She got a BLEEP that makes her naughty If i stick it in you, don’t call me She get’s horny I want to traffic her to my home This content is indecent and inappropriate. this was shared BEFORE the broadcast decency curfew. This language should not be allowed in ANY language on National TV.”

Media: “I want to complain about that obscene and anti-American show that was put on during halftime at the Super Bowl so many children watch that and if this is what you consider a good influence, I think you need to have a change of personnel. This was a disgrace and I am ashamed I consider this whole show anti-American and Anti-children safety.”

Erie: “I learned about eating a women’s a** at the super bowl. This was a first time for me. I was raised with God and religion. I had to go to counseling and therapy after the super bowl..I can’t get the lyrics out of my head. I have PTSD from the super bowl .”

Doylestown: “Investigate the Super Bowl halftime show featuring Bad Bunny. It was an exercise in perversity; not diversity”

Bensalem Township: “I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the halftime performance by Bad Bunny that aired during a nationally broadcast sporting event. I was extremely disappointed by the content of this performance, which included vulgar and sexually suggestive language – regardless of the fact that much of it was in a different language – as well as explicit dancing involving both same-sex and opposite-sex performers grinding on one another. This content was broadcast during a time when many families and children were watching. Network television is supposed to follow decency standards, especially during widely viewed events. The performance was inappropriate for a general audience and did not align with what many viewers reasonably expect during such programming. I believe broadcasters should be held accountable for allowing explicit content to air without adequate warnings or consideration for younger viewers. I respectfully request that the FCC review this broadcast and take appropriate action to ensure future programming meets community standards of decency. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.”

Coal Township: “Language barrier was not the issue with the halftime show. The issue is I was watching the tv with my 7 and 11 year old and two men were seen grinding on eachother almost immediately! I had to shut it off!”

Erie: “There were no closed caption during the Superbowl commerical. I am deaf.”

Conneaut Lake : “We all know what Bad Bunny was saying!!!! You can look up the lyrics he sang!!!! And you allowed this!!! My daughter is learning Spanish right now and she was confused by some off the things she was hearing!!!! This is disgusting and I feel an attack on the American people having to hear this type of language at a live sporting event!!!! A. Few of us parents are coming together to push a class-action law suit against the FCC, NFL,Bad Bunny and anyone else who was compliant in this matter!!!!! You have made a huge mistake for allowing this to happen!!!!!”

Abbottstown: “Vulgar, explicit, sexualized language during NFL halftime show with bad bunny.”

Frenchville: “I am writing to complain about the super bowl halftime show. While I don’t speak spanish, my grandson does and from what I understand there were graphic depictions of body parts, sex acts, drug use, and drug use during sex acts. From what I understand, the song he sang had the lyrics altered for the Super Bowl performance, but some remained. I would like to know what you are doing to prevent this in the future.”

Doylestown: “During the superbowl half time show, the performer sang lyrics such as the following: “smile if I f**ked you already.” In another, he rapped that “my dick is hot.” In another, he led the audience to fill in the lyric “if your boyfriend doesn’t eat your ass then why bother.” In yet another lyric, Bad Bunny sang, “My dick is fugitive, and I want you to hide it.” The lyrics were in Spanish and the broadcaster failed to censor these lyrics. These lyrics violate FCC rules against indecency during a public broadcast over licensed airwaves.”

Jenkintown: “How did the FCC not see this coming? I am shocked and outraged and am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the Bad Bunny halftime performance at Super Bowl LX. What should have been a celebratory, family-friendly experience was instead filled with air humping, crotch grabbing, and other forms of smut not suitable for children. Major broadcasts like the Super Bowl should uphold a standard of decency that reflects the diverse audience tuning in, especially when many children are watching. I respectfully urge the FCC to impose repercussions to deter such vulgar displays during family viewing times in the future. Especially on a SUNDAY!!! Thank you!”

Philadelphia: “The Super Bowl 60 halftime show was full on indecency and vulgar language.

West Chester, via phone: The consumer states that the FCC should be protecting Americans on TV. She states that the Halftime show of Super Bowl was violent and should have never been put on cable TV. Mr. Carr needs to do something about that. She did not find this appropriate. In the 1950s they had I Love Lucy there was a rule that they could not allow them sleeping in one bed. She wants to know why this was allowed

East Berlin: “I didn’t watch the Super Bowl halftime show live, but after going online to look up the lyrics to Bad Bunny’s songs and their English translations, why isn’t the NFL, NBC, etc, being fined massive amounts of money for allowing his explicit disgusting lyrics to be broadcast into our homes without warnings or bleeps? It shouldn’t matter that he sang in Spanish. He should have been bleeped for every p, d, a, and f words he said in Spanish. The Super Bowl is supposed to be a family-friendly event. Do better for the American people!”

Philadelphia: “During the bad bunny superbowl preformance there was a bunch of vulgar and obscene profanity used my children were watching and that was COMPLETLY inappropriate”

Philadelphia: “Writing a complaint on the disgusting song lyrics during the Bad Bunny super Bowl halftime show. The lyrics are as follows, Spanish to English Bad Bunny “Come down to my house, I’ll pick it all up Mami, I’ll pick it all up. Come down to my house, I’ll wear you out, any, I’ll wear you out. Come down to my house, I’ll pick it all up (papi keep going). Mami, pick it all up (papi keep going) Tell me, servant (papi, keep going) if you smoke weed ( papi, papi)” These are the few less offensive lyrics from the song and for the head ofthe NFL and Jay Z to allow this abomination to spew this garbage across national television reaching 100+ million viewers to unacceptable. Those involved in this should be fined and banned for multiple FCC violations, the American people demand an investigation, fine and removal from our airways.”

Meadeville, via phone: There was a lot of inappropriate language during Bad Bunny halftime show

Marcus Hook: “To Whom it may concern, I’ll try to be brief with my complaint. This is concerning the Superbowl Halftime Show and the Singer and performer ” BAD BUNNY”โ€ฆ.This was by far, the most Vile, disrespectful, borderline X Rated halftime show that I hope to never have to witness again. Since he choose to perform in his native language, which is Spanish, not only did he dismiss over half his audience, but the songs he choose ( The lyrics ) are DISGUSTING!!! With a little help from Google, I looked up just some of the words in his songsโ€ฆI found ALOT OF the ” F-WORD” Used numerous times , and also his LYRICS could ,and should be considered PORNOGRAPHIC!!! I’ll point out also this was performed LIVE!!! What has always been an American tradition, and a Family friendly get together, now has become a war on Morals and sexual perversion!!! I thank God this poor choice for entertainment was not in the English language, as so many children and young adults weren’t aware or understand these lyrics. I’m also offended that NBC AND THE NFL, would even consider Bad Bunny a good Choice for family viewing ( Had they not investigated his songs? Lyrics? ) if anything, I think FINES Should be placed upon NBC,the NFL and BAD BUNNY!! Thank you, Respectfully”

Elizabethtown: “During the ‘Superbowl’ halftime show, prior to 10pm, there was very vulgar language used by the performer. Not to mention some of the physical actions as well.”

Lake City: “The half time show with Bad Bunny was indecent and extremely vulgar. This was a family event and children were exposed to this filth.”

Slatington: “Bad Bunny had incredibly sexual lyrics, which is explicitly outlined as illegal per Fcc regulations. Its sickening that this was allowed to be played live for millions of people, including children. It was rehearsed and choreographed, so prior knowledge must have been available. Pushing sexual messaging to children right after the Epstein disaster is absolutely disgusting”

Auburn: “Complaint regarding the indecency of the Super Bowl halftime show -Bad Bunny hid behind a using a second language Spanish – but his songs mainly “Safaera” was riddled with lyrics detailing of anal sex, oral sex, sodomy, drug abuse and curse words – each one of his songs had lyrics laced with profanity, discussion of explicit description of sex acts, use of illegal drugs, degradation of women. Spanish children watching the halftime show were laughing and repeating not only the curse words but also mimicking the dance moves indicative of sexual acts. This perverse act and the NFL should be fined to the full extent of the law by the FCC. Immediate action should be taken by this agency before this ever happens. Thank You”

Charleroi: “Bad Bunny, the NFL, NBC, Apple Music and whoever else was involved with the halftime show at Super Bowl 60 needs to be fined. If Bad Bunny sang his songs in English he would never be allowed to perform what he did on national TV, but because he sang in Spanish it’s okay? Go ahead and translate the songs that he sang. It’s DISGUSTING and Disgraceful what he sang on TV. The Super Bowl is for families, there were CHILDREN watching this. It’s an absolute shame that his because he sang in Spanish that he’s allowed to say those god awful things on TV.”

Philadelphia: “The lyrics are disgusting. You thought you could get around it if it was in Spanishโ€ฆ the whole thing. Translated the lyrics and you should be ashamed of yourself. Descriptions of oral sex, drug use, the size of his penis and let’s not forget two males grinding simulating sex”

West Chester: “The halftime show was of an explicit and sexual nature that was not suitable for children.”

Cranberry Township: “On Feb 8, 2026 the FOX broadcast of Super Bowl 50 included a halftime show that was indecent for the audience watching the game. I demand a maximum fine for the vulgar and sexually suggestive broadcast during family viewing hours”

New Freedom: “For the NFL to continually book and air these indecent halftime shows knowing that millions of families with children will be watching is unacceptable. This Bad Bunny show was indecent, vulgar and done entirely in Spanish! This is the USA we speak English and want the FCC to stop allowing the NFL to continue to book these halftime shows people gyrating each other and the star continually grabbing his private parts and then when you learn of the translation of the words of the songs completely disgusting especially when most young people take Spanish in school!! The J Lo and Chikara shows were indecent as well with little clothing and sexual inuendos !! There are many good old American acts to choose from to present to American Families!”

Greencastle: “Super Bowl LIX demand a maximum fine for the vulgar and sexually suggestive broadcast during family viewing hours.”

North East: “Vulgar lyrics and lude acts during superbowl half-time show.”

Greentown: “On sunday February 8th 2026 I watch the most halftime show with my two daughters and was horrified as the performer used obscene and extremely graphic sexual language live on air just non stop talking about sexual acts is was absolutely disgusting”

Scranton: “Obscene, profane, and indecent Super Bowl Halftime show with explicit and sexually suggestive lyrics and behaviors. The performance also showed clear bias and prejudice towards English speaking observers as it was entirely in Spanish and English being our official language.”

Shrewsbury: “Very disappointed with the Super Bowl Halftime Show and Vulgarity of the show. This is not appropriate for families. Why is it allowed?”

West Chester: “If this was in English, the FCC would have shut it down immediately and fined all involved out of existence, but because it was entirely in Spanish it was allowed to go on. With no audio at all it was obscene at best. How many children were exposed to this “wholesome entertainment”, who go richer from this insult?”

Tyrone: “I was absolutely disgusted to see this year’s “bad bunny” half time show which displayed vulgar language and dancing. In no way should this be allowed to be aired on television especially when innocent, impressionable children watch. This used to be a family event and has turned into a soft pornographic show. I have small children which I had to quickly cover their eyes multiple times during the “event””

Yardley: “I have a sever bilateral congenital hearing loss and wear hearing aids and rely on closed captioning but there was no closed captioning during the Superbowl Halftime Show”

Mountaintop: “Surely somebody at the FCC knows some Spanish and/or watched the rap kid from Puerto Rico who referenced gay male sex during the Halftime Show which might have some kids watching. Are obscene words, and references to homosexual sex, just dandy on prime time TV now as long as they are in Spanish and thus aimed at illegal aliens and at legal immigrants fluent in Spanish?”

Bethlehem: The lyrics for bad bunny were explicit and not family friendly for the Superbowl halftime show 2026

Dresher: “Not happy with the language that was on during the Super Bowl half time show. If those lyrics were in English they never would have been allowed so why are we allowing them in another language. Very disappointing”

Bethlehem: “The show was completely inappropriate for family viewing. The foul language, the dancing, the song choices, and content was better suited for a bachelor party. It was indecent, vulgar, and sex charged. Who at the FCC approved such smut? There is a place for everything, and that dancing belongs in a strip club, not a family sports event. What adult was OK with young boys and girls watching that display of gyrating and grinding ? I’m Hispanic and I was ashamed of how our culture was portrayed. Did no one vet the show beforehand? Maybe they need to start. Does the NFL and the FCC NOT want families to watch the Superbowl Half time show? Stop ruining it. Stand up for some standard of decency please!”

Johnstown: “Why was bad bunny allowed to say all that nasty stuff on live TV and it not be censored out? Young children were watching his performance. That is disgusting to not censor and let minors watch this. Has anyone looked up the lyrics to his songs. How was this approved?”

Fairchance: “The lyrics to at least one (if not all) were COMPLETELY vile. Refer to attached image from Google translate (of the song; Safaera)”

Uniontown: “I am disgusted by the language in the lyrics that bad bunny sang during the half time show .the super bowl is supposed to be a family friendly event .the lyrics we’re profane and I’m disappointed tha something like this would be allowed to be aired during an event that tons of impressionable young football fans look foorwsrd to.”

Wilkes-Barre: “I would like to file a complaint for indecency against NBC for use of sexually explicit material during Bad bunny’s performance at the halftime show. My grandchildren were watching this and were disgusted as was I. I feel a class action lawsuit is in order and I am following the preliminary steps to do so (this complaint is the first one). Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Covington Township: “On Sunday, Feb 8 during the NFL halftime, show an inappropriate and disgusting. I’m a song if you want to call it.That was performed. Said performance by one bad bunny, an artist whose real name, I do not care to know. In addition to his vulgar dancing, cratch, grabbing and dry humping, The words to the song were vulgar explicit and not meant for primetime tv. I would ask that you hold nbc.Network accountable and remove their license. Criminal charges should be referred because that is corruption of minors. Many of whom were watching the game. In addition to nbc, the principals and purveyors of this pirnographic festival, along with the so called artist must be held accountable. It is your responsibility to prevent this type of trash from overtaking american airwaves, and you’re really not seeming like you’re up to the job. I would like you to file my complaint and hold the responsible parties fully accountable Thank you”

Ambler: “How in the world did the FCC not flag the prime time half time show. The lyrics sung by Bad Bunny were disgusting, highly sexual, and completely inappropriate for family viewing. 50 million plus people heard Bad Bunny sing about wet panties, squirting, sexual intercourse, and more. So wrong and unacceptable! Football is an American family experience and to know that so many impressionable kids heard and later likely googled the lyrics crosses significant boundaries. The FCC needs to investigate and the NFL and CBS should face sanctions”

Philadelphia: “After reading subtitles watching the “Bad Bunny” broadcast, the interpretation of the lyrics was obscene and reprehensible. Was this allowed because no one knew in advance the shocking lyrics about to be broadcast to millions of minors? I will testify to the harm that Bad Bunny did to my Children. Thank you”

Dunmore: “WBRE and NBC aired the pornographic Super Bowl halftime show featuring a very graphic, pornographic Bad Bunny performance. It featured explicit language describing sex acts, and simulation of sex acts. Disgusting and inappropriate for the millions of children watching.”

Bethel Park: “During the performance, all in spanish, no english subtitles were offered, but having it translated it appears that they violated rules on vulgar language for a live prime time event on broadcast television”

Franklin: “I was led to believe that the artist performing used vulgarity throughout his lyrics and performance. I expect a language other than English is held to the same standards and scrutinized for vulgarity and anti American messages. It’s nearly impossible to listen and not have a song bleeped for a swear word, when sung in English on TV. I didn’t hear one bleep yesterday. Is that because the proctor doesn’t understand the language. That’s possible . But scrutinize the performance afterwards with someone that understands the language of the song being performed on National Television.”

Port Royal: “Numerous sexually explicit descriptions in song. Even though these were sung in spanish it was very explicit and suggestive towards the mistreatment of women. This is unexceptable.”

Cranberry Township: “To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally complain about the MAHA Super Bowl advertisement featuring Mike Tyson. This advertisement is disturbing, disrespectful, and harmful. In the ad, Mr. Tyson describes himself as “fat and nasty” at 345 pounds and states that he wanted to kill himself. This language is deeply inappropriate for a national broadcast during an event watched by millions of children, teenagers, and families. Publicly framing larger bodies as “nasty” and linking weight to worth or suicidality is profoundly damaging. People who are overweight already face stigma, shame, and discrimination every day. Hearing this messaging, especially in a context where viewers cannot reasonably avoid it, reinforces the idea that people are “not okay” as they are. That message can cause real psychological harm. As someone who is overweight, I can say firsthand that this type of messaging does not inspire health. It shames. It wounds. And for vulnerable viewers, especially young people, it risks reinforcing dangerous self-hatred and mental health struggles. There are countless ways to promote eating real food or healthier habits without resorting to body-shaming or graphic references to suicide. Choosing this approach was irresponsible and unnecessary. I urge you to take this complaint seriously, to remove this advertisement from future broadcasts, and to reconsider how health messaging is presented to the public. Media content carries responsibility, especially when it reaches audiences who cannot consent to or escape its impact. I will continue to pursue formal complaints through appropriate channels until this advertisement is addressed and taken off the air. Sincerely”

Wilkes Barre: “I think it was disguising for the half time show. He kept touching and grabbing himself sexually. This was not appropriate for our household due to the sexuality”

Havertown: “This message is to alert you of a formal complaint of the profanity and foul language used at the Bad Bunny Half Time Show with the NFL network. His songs described graphic sexual context, profanity, and foul language that was broadcasted across tv to minors who were watching. Previously superbowl halftime shows that contained foul language and obscenity were censored or the artist would change the lyrics for the show. This is completely unacceptable and if no action is taken a formal suit shall follow.”

Irwin: “The super bow halftime performance by Bad Bunny was highly inappropriate and had suggestive content as well as very explicit and sexual lyrics. It does not matter if it was in a language other than English. The lyrics speak of sex and degradation of women as well as highly explicit language.”

Rostraver Township: “Have contacted T mobile numerous times about extremely low internet speeds, buffering, freezing up, and fuzzy picture. No issues with my service for first six months, weekend of Super Bowl they have an outing. After they fix outing, our signal, along with our neighbors became horrible. We have these issues now every day.”

Pittsburgh: “The performer and the performance was very inappropriate and not at all family oriented. I didn’t appreciate seeing 2 men grinding and jirating on each other, nor seeing half naked women twerking. And if you would have listened to his lyrics in English you would know that those words were offensive and very disrespectful!!! You should be ashamed to subject young children or any audience members to that vulgarity. But I guess it’s money over morals now!!”

Gwynedd: “As a concerned parent who loves all our children please have the FCC investigate the recent halftime show from Super Bowl 60 and the NFL. Absolutely unacceptable with language and sexual innuendos.”

McMurray: “The filthy language used during the halftime show at this year’s Superbowl was disgusting. English speaking people didn’t understand it, and this was done purposely, but the millions of Spanish speaking were horrified by the language used. The license of the network must be revoked for this travesty, not a slap on the wrist, not a fine, but a blank screen for six months for their allowing this horrific display”

Dilliner: “vulgar language, indecency and sexually related material being exposed to children”
