A planned multi-day closure of Bristol-Oxford Valley Road has been canceled, PennDOT officials announced.

The busy stretch between Woodbourne Road and New Falls Road, which is in Falls and Middletown townships, was scheduled to be closed from Friday through Wednesday.
According to a PennDOT spokesperson, the scheduled closure for pipe replacement work will no longer take place during that timeframe.
The pipe installation is part of a larger, ongoing maintenance project in the area.

Crews have been working at the site for several weeks as PennDOT prepares to repave the entirety of Bristol-Oxford Valley Road.
Officials did not immediately provide a new date for the postponed work.
