The investigation began in February when Bristol Township police responded to a harassment complaint.

The victim told officers that while a male friend was sleeping, his ex-girlfriend, a 22-year-old Croydon resident, accessed his mobile device without permission.

The 22-year-old woman allegedly sent nude photos and videos of the victim from the man’s phone to her own device, police said.

The victim further alleged that the 22-year-old woman sent the explicit materials to the victim’s father via Facebook Messenger. The victim discovered the files on her father’s phone within the application, police said.

Police reported that the 22-year-old woman used the images as leverage, threatening to publish the sexual images on social media if the victim continued her relationship with the man.

During an interview with investigators, the 22-year-old woman admitted to taking the images with the intent to disseminate them. She also admitted to sending the files to the victim’s father, later showing the photos and videos to officers on her own phone, police said.

The 22-year-old woman reportedly told police her motive was to stop the victim from seeing the man.

The 22-year-old woman was charged with disseminating obscene/sexual materials, harassment, and possession of an instrument of crime with intent. She was preliminarily arraigned and released on unsecured bail.
