The Bensalem Township Police Department released more details on the man who fled from Middletown Township officers Thursday morning.

Landon McMahon, 19, of Yardley, is wanted by authorities and is “considered armed and dangerous.”

McMahon, according to authorities, led Middletown Township police on a chase from East Lincoln Highway to Green Lane in Bristol Township. The chase was called off for safety reasons, police said.

McMahon was driving an Infiniti sedan at the time he fled, authorities said.

The 19-year-old man was wanted by Bensalem Township authorities for allegedly firing a gun inside the bathroom of Asad’s Hot Chicken on Knights Road on Monday.

“Officers located a hole in the wall and bullet fragments on the floor,” police said.

Bensalem Township detectives used security camera footage and license plate readers to identify McMahon as the suspect, police said.

McMahon is wanted on a warrant for reckless endangerment, firearms not to be carried without a license, and related offenses.

The Middletown Township Police Department broke off a pursuit of a wanted person Thursday morning for safety reasons.

Chief of Police Joseph Bartorilla confirmed to LevittownNow.com that officers were attempting to stop a man wanted for discharging a firearm at a Bensalem Township restaurant when the pursuit began.

The chase started on East Lincoln Highway in the area of the Langhorne Square Shopping Center and went down Veterans Highway into Bristol Township.

The chief said officers pursued the vehicle onto Bath Road and the area of Route 13.

On Green Lane in the area of the Bloomsdale-Fleetwing section, officers terminated the chase due to safety concerns related to the fleeing suspect’s driving, Bartorilla said.

The suspect is still being sought related to the Bensalem Township incident and the chase.
