

A Bristol Township woman is accused of crashing her vehicle while intoxicated and later attacking a paramedic transporting her to the hospital.

Deirdre Lampreich, 60, was charged last week with aggravated assault – attempts to cause of causes injury, DUI, reckless driving, and careless driving.
Middletown Township police said they responded to the intersection of Zimmerman Lane and Main Street at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, for a report of a single-vehicle collision.
At the scene, an officer discovered a white Chevrolet Equinox that had struck a utility pole near the intersection, police said.

According to police, both the SUV and the pole sustained heavy damage.
The driver, who was identified as Lampreich, appeared disoriented. Officers noted that Lampreich smelled of alcohol and spoke with slowed, slurred speech, police said.

The vehicle’s backseat revealed a partially consumed bottle of vodka.
The Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad transported Lampreich to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment.

Lampreich was admitted to the hospital for an overnight stay following the crash.
The 60-year-old woman was preliminarily arraigned before District Judge Daniel Baranoski and released on $15,000 unsecured bail.
