The 24-year-old driver was driving in the 600 block of Main Street in Hulmeville Borough on Thursday, Jan. 15 around 12:35 a.m. in a 2012 Toyota Camry when he drifted off, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

The Toyota veered onto the right shoulder and struck a parked 2001 Honda CRV, troopers said.

State police said the impact of the collision jolted the driver awake and caused him to swerve across the roadway.

The Camry then struck a curb on the opposite side of Main Street before coming to a rest against a residential mailbox, state police said.
