Gino Francis Gioffre Jr., 32, was preliminarily arraigned last Saturday by on-call District Judge Mick Petrucci on 63 counts, including charges of rape of an unconscious victim, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault without consent, and invasion of privacy.

A woman contacted Bristol Township police last July to report a series of assaults she said began at least five years ago. The woman told a detective that she frequently awoke to find Gioffre touching her intimately, according to an probable cause affidavit.

The woman stated she told Gioffre “no” several times, police said.

The woman told investigators, according to police, that the behavior would then stop for several months and give her a “break” where she felt she did not have to worry.

The woman reported that the behavior escalated last spring and Gioffre began touching her three to four times a week, police said.

The woman told police she wakes up in a state of panic in the mornings.

The investigation also involved digital evidence and witness statements:

The woman told a detective she discovered a photo of her intimate body parts on Gioffre’s Google account, police said.

Gioffre allegedly told the woman’s mother in July that he had been touching the woman while she was awake and was moving out because she did not like it, police said.

The woman provided police with an alleged screenshot of a text message from Gioffre. In the message, Gioffre reportedly wrote that he told the woman’s mother he had been touching the woman while she slept throughout their relationship, noting he had asked him to stop.

“You don’t feel safe with me in the house,” the text message read, according to court documents.

Gioffre was released after posting 10 percent of $50,000 bail.
