The Bucks County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the man who was struck and killed by a SEPTA train last week in Middletown Township.

Thomas Robert Palaio, 23, who was homeless, was the man who died, Coroner Patti Campi said.
Palaio was killed around 8:20 p.m. last Wednesday on the tracks near the intersection of Walsh and Comly avenues along the West Trenton Line.
Palaio previously lived not far from the scene of his death.

The 23-year-old man was released from prison recently after failing to register as a sex offender with the Pennsylvania State Police.
SEPTA spokesperson Kelly Greene said no injuries were reported to the train’s passengers or SEPTA crew members.

SEPTA used shuttle buses to transport passengers from the stopped train during the investigation.
Rail service remained suspended between the Neshaminy Falls and West Trenton stations while the SEPTA Transit Police Department carried out their investigation.
