Police Investigate After Dog Thrown From Moving Vehicle

Police are investigating a report of animal cruelty after a dog was thrown from a moving vehicle and abandoned.

The Tullytown Borough Police Department announced the investigation Wednesday into the “disturbing incident,” which occurred just outside the boroughโ€™s border on Old Bristol Pike.

Police described the act as “not only cruel but criminal.”

“Acts of animal cruelty will not be tolerated in or around our community,” the department said in a statement. “We are actively working to identify the individual(s) responsible and to determine the ownership of the dog involved.”

Police confirmed they plan to pursue criminal charges against anyone found to be involved in the incident.

Investigators are asking the public for assistance in identifying the vehicle or people responsible.

Residents and drivers who were in the area are encouraged to check dash camera footage or surveillance video for suspicious activity.

The department noted that tips can be provided confidentially.
