

A minor was detained early Tuesday morning in Middletown Township after a report of a suspicious person entering vehicles in the Langhorne section.

Middletown Township Police Department officers responded to a call on Apple Valley Drive regarding an individual allegedly going through vehicles.
A boy matching the suspect’s description was quickly located on Flint Road, according to police.
When confronted by officers, the suspect fled on foot through a wooded area, police said.

Following a brief pursuit and struggle, officers successfully took the juvenile into custody in a backyard on Flint Road, police said.
The investigation linked the local minor suspect’s connection to previous vehicle thefts in the same neighborhood, including a stolen vehicle recently recovered on Styer Road, police said.

Police noted the suspect was on an active phone call with another person during the incident.
The juvenile was transported to the Bucks County Youth Center in Doylestown Township pending further legal proceedings.
Middletown Township police asked residents to remain vigilant. They pointed to the importance of locking vehicles, removing keys and fobs, and immediately reporting suspicious activity.
