The fundraising committee opted to split the total haul evenly by distributing $13,000 to the nonprofit organization, Goofy Gators, and dividing the remaining $13,000 among the 10 elementary schools in the Pennsbury School District.

Falls Township Parks and Recreation Direction Brian Andrews, who presented the donations, was joined by Goofy Gators representative Erin Farrell and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) members from all 10 elementary schools to receive the checks.

The 10 Pennsbury elementary schools – Afton, Edgewood, Eleanor Roosevelt, Fallsington, Makefield, Manor, Oxford Valley, Penn Valley, Quarry Hill, and Walt Disney – each received an equal share of the remaining funds, amounting to $1,300 per school.

“This was our ninth year. So it was nice to have the recipients come out tonight and receive the donations and so thank them all for being here,” Boraski said. He added that the event has raised well over $100,000 throughout its history.

Supervisor Chairman Jeff Dence praised the event for its consistency and community reach.

“This was, like you said, the ninth year. They’ve raised over well over $100,000. I forget the total amount, but that’s a huge accomplishment,” Dence said. He emphasized that the annual fundraiser consistently benefits organizations that directly impact township residents.

The Touch-a-Truck event brings together families to explore various trucks and emergency vehicles while raising money for local educational and charitable initiatives.
