

A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a car on Halloween night in Penndel Borough.

The crash happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the 100 block of West Lincoln Highway, the Penndel Borough Police Department reported.
Officers arriving at the scene found the adult man, who had been hit by a dark-colored Toyota sedan, police said.
The pedestrian was treated by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad before being transported to a local hospital.

Police said the man remained in critical condition as of Saturday morning.
The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, police said.

Police noted that no charges have been filed as of Saturday, and impairment does not appear to be a factor in the incident.
The roadway was closed for approximately three hours while the Bucks County Crash Investigation Unit assisted Penndel Borough police in processing the scene.
