Storm To Bring Rain, Wind & Possible Flooding

Forecasters are calling for a minor coastal flooding risk along the Delaware River Lower Bucks County.

The severity of the impacts will depend on the exact track and intensity of the storm, the National Weather Service said in a Saturday morning briefing.

“The magnitude and severity of the coastal flooding will depend on the track and intensity of the storm, along with how strong the onshore winds become,” forecasters said.

Rainfall is expected to total 1 to 3 inches across the area from Saturday through Monday, with forecasters noting the totals are trending lower than initial predictions.

Wind gusts close to 40 mph are predicted Sunday through Monday, which could lead to downed trees and power outages.

The forecast from the National Weather Service:

Saturday: A chance of showers, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Rain likely, mainly after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 57. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Sunday: Rain likely, mainly after 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 63. Breezy, with a northeast wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: Rain. Low around 55. Breezy, with a northeast wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday: Rain. High near 61. Breezy, with a northeast wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday Night: Rain likely, mainly before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday: A chance of rain before 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 65. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 51.
