Langhorne Borough Chief of Police John Godzieba said a black 2022 Mercedes sedan was traveling south on North Pine Street (Route 413) around 3:20 p.m. when the driver veered into oncoming northbound traffic near Marshall Avenue.

The chief said the sedan narrowly missed a pedestrian on the sidewalk before striking a PECO pole in front of a home in the 200 block of North Pine Street.

Godzieba said the driver was not injured but was transported by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad to St. Mary Medical Center for a medical evaluation.

The driver, who was not injured, was having a medical emergency at the time of the crash, Godzieba said.

Traffic was jammed in the area of the crash for some time until the crashed vehicle was cleared.
