The Bristol Borough Fire Association, which includes the Bristol Consolidated, Bristol, Goodwill Hose, and America, Hose, Hook, and Ladder fire companies, responded to the building fire with crews from surrounding municipalities.

According to Bristol Borough Deputy Fire Chief A.J. DeAngelis, fire companies were able to respond quickly because they were out on a training exercise.

The fire originated in mulch at the front of the building and extended into the wall.

“The fire was quickly under control and the building was turned over to the property manager,” DeAngelis said.

The deputy chief noted that it was the second small fire to occur at the location this year, both starting in mulch against the building.
