Levittown-Area Communities To Host National Night Out Events

Several towns in the Levittown area will host events Tuesday, Aug. 5, for National Night Out to mark the nationwide celebration.

Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Falls Township, Middletown Township, and Tullytown Borough are all taking part this year.

Bristol Borough’s event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Snyder Girotti Elementary School. The celebration will include a DJ, face painting, a bounce house and games.

In Bristol Township, festivities are scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Community Park, 2501 Bath Road. Police officers, firefighters and ambulance crews will be present, along with a DJ, food trucks, bounce houses, games, vendors, and a dunk tank. The rain date is Wednesday, Aug. 6.

Falls Township’s National Night Out will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Community Park, 9125 Mill Creek Road. The event will feature a DJ, bounce houses, a bubble machine, giveaways, food trucks, and vendors. There will also be a police K-9 demonstration, a smoke trailer, fire trucks and police vehicles.

The Middletown Township event is set for 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Municipal Complex, 5 Municipal Way. Parking will be available at the Shoppes of Flowers Mill. The celebration will include a SWAT truck, ATVs, police cars, fire trucks, bikes, and drones. There will also be K-9 and motorcycle demonstrations, giveaways, vendors and a raffle.

The Penndel Borough Police Department is hosting an event at Penndel Memorial Field on Bellevue Avenue from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will feature police officers, games, and giveaways.

National Night Out was created in 1984 to promote neighborhood unity and provide crime prevention education. The event is held on the first Tuesday of August and attracts about 38 million people in the U.S., Canada, and American military bases worldwide.
