Bristol Township police are investigating a string of four vehicle thefts reported in the Levittown sections of the municipality.

The thefts have taken place over the past 48 hours, according to Sgt. Jason Mancuso.
Mancuso on Wednesday morning told LevittownNow.com that in some instances key fobs were left inside the stolen vehicles and the vehicles themselves were unlocked.
Some of the stolen vehicles have been recovered undamaged, Mancuso said.

Police believe the thefts, which are happening overnight, are related to suspects traveling from Philadelphia and Trenton.
The suspects are targeting specific vehicle models, police suspect.

In response to the incidents, Bristol Township police will deploy extra patrols in the impacted neighborhoods, Mancuso said.
Officers are urging residents to call 9-1-1 if they observe any suspicious activity during the early morning hours.
Police also pointed to the importance of securing key fobs and ensuring vehicles are locked.

“It is very rare that locked vehicles are taken,” Mancuso said.
