The 44th commencement ceremony featured speeches from valedictorian Alicia Knight, salutatorian Damian Lopez, and Class President Mohamed Touray.
“You grew up during one of the craziest times in American history. You dealt with all the chaos using grit, grace, and just enough sarcasm to keep things interesting,” Principal Jon Craig said.
Touray announced that 70% of the graduates will be heading to college next year, with the class securing $2.5 million in scholarships.

Touray told his peers to look to the future.
“Ten years from now, we won’t remember the times we played it safe. We’ll remember when we took risks, thought outside the box, and pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones,” he said.
