What does Ken do for Paul Davis Restoration & Renovations? Estimator. Meet with customers to discuss projects, such as new kitchens, bathrooms, additions and provide a detailed proposal for the project. Since Paul Davis is a preferred vendor for several insurance carriers, I handle a great deal of insurance claims. From original inspection, taking photographs of the cause of loss, damages caused by the loss, to completing the estimate, and negotiating a settlement with the insurance company. I am also an on-call supervisor on scheduled weekends and every Wednesday evening.
How they got started in the business or their trade? I began working in the insurance industry in 1995. I was an outside field adjuster, investigating insurance claims. I would determining coverage and complete damage estimates for covered losses. I was also a licensed public adjuster In Pennsylvania and New Jersey, prior to starting my position at Paul Davis Restoration of Bucks County.
What Ken likes about the job? I enjoy meeting new people. Unfortunately, I am meeting them at a difficult time. I like to use my knowledge of the industry to assist in navigating the claims process, finalizing the project details, and seeing the satisfied faces of our customers when the project is completed.
How does Ken work to overcome challenges and make customers happy? The way to overcome challenges is to attack them head on. Identify the problem, create an appropriate plan and procedure to remedy the problem, and then implement the plan. During this process, communication with the customer is paramount. Keeping them informed of your commitment to rectify the situation and advising them of the progress from start to finish will ensure a satisfied customer.
What is it like working in the community where you live? It is rewarding because as you drive around, you can see the homes that were restored by Paul Davis Restoration of Bucks County. The people of the community see the caring, hard work, and dedication that we put forth to helping them rebuild their homes. I take pride in that and the work that everyone associated with our company does.
