A striking display of 70,000 American flags has once again transformed Falls Township Community Park

The annual Jesse Hill Flag Memorial opened Friday and runs through Sunday afternoon at the municipal park.
Organized by the Delaware Valley Vietnam Veterans, the memorial honors every American soldier killed in the Vietnam War and Middle East conflicts.
Volunteers braved warm temperatures Friday to plant the thousands of flags across the park’s soccer fields.

Saturday’s events will feature a day of reflection and live music beginning at noon. Scheduled performers include Mikey Jr., Jukebox Graveyard, Jed’s Gold, Old School, Stella and Rockin’ Chair.
On Sunday, a motorcycle rally will kick off at noon. Riders will depart from American Legion Post 960 on Woodbourne Road in Middletown Township’s Levittown section and conclude at the flag memorial.
