Crews were dispatched at 3:11 a.m. to the area of Money Island on Waste Management property near the Delaware River in Falls Township for a report of a brush fire.
According to the Falls Township Fire Company, a lack of access to the remote location delayed efforts to find the blaze.
The Falls Township assistant chief eventually located a deep-seated woods fire covering approximately 2 acres, the fire company said.
