Readers reported the wreck occurred around 8 a.m. on Newportville Road, between Hilary and Dixon avenues.
An SUV flipped onto its side, shearing the pole, and scattering trash and debris across the scene.
PECO and Verizon crews responded to the location to repair the damaged utility pole.
