A box truck crash in Upper Bucks County last month injured two men, including one from Bristol, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The crash occurred on River Road in Bridgeton Township on March 22 just before 8:30 a.m.
A box truck, which was driven by a 39-year-old Maryland man, veered off the roadway and struck a tree, state police said in a statement issued Tuesday.
A 64-year-old Bristol man was a passenger in the box truck.

State police said the driver fell asleep at the wheel while driving.
Both men were wearing seatbelts and were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem by Upper Bucks Regional EMS for injuries.

The box truck was badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
State police noted that River Road is straight in the area, and there was no apparent reason for the truck to leave the roadway.
The driver of the box truck will be cited in connection with the single-vehicle crash.
