The branch at 346 West Trenton Avenue in the Morrisville section of Falls Township will close on June 5, the bank announced in a letter to customers.

The letter, which was provided to LevittownNow.com by a reader, directed customers to other branches in Bristol Township, Middletown Township and Ewing, New Jersey.

The West Trenton Avenue location has been open for more than 15 years.

A regulatory filing with the U.S. Department of Treasury indicates TD Bank, the American subsidiary of the Canadian bank of the same name, will close three other branches in the Philadelphia region this year.

The Falls Township branch has been the site of several robberies, including one last month.

The closure comes after TD Bank pleaded guilty in October in a money laundering conspiracy case brought by the U.S. Department of Justice and agreed to pay more than $3 billion in penalties. The company will undergo court-ordered monitoring and operational reforms.

Banking Dive, a financial institution trade publication, reported TD Bank has been cutting costs following the anti-money laundering scandal.

In the bank’s annual report, the chair of the board described 2024 as a “challenging year” for TD Bank.
