
Judith “Judy” Elizabeth Gerlach, 73, passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Judy was born on March 9, 1951, in Binghamton, New York, to the late Blanche (Jamack) and Major Joseph Gerlach. She grew up in a loving home with her sisters, Karin and Betty. After moving to Levittown, PA, Judy attended St. Joseph The Worker Elementary School and Bishop Conwell High School, where her gentle, thoughtful nature was evident to all who knew her.
Judy worked for many years as the manager of Puss and Boots Takeout, where her kindness and humor made her a cherished colleague and friend. Throughout her life, she formed lifelong bonds, most importantly her six-decade friendship with Sharon and Ed Sabol. Judy became part of the Sabol family, a second mother to Jennifer Hall (Jon), and a loving “Grand Ju” to her children, Jon Jr., Eddie, and Jessica.
Known for her thoughtfulness, Judy remembered every birthday and holiday. She loved Disney movies, flamingos, and cooking family favorites like chili and halupki.
Judy is predeceased by her sister Karin and survived by her sister Betty of Bradenton, Florida.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Fairless Hills, PA. Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 9:30 a.m.
