Anthony Jiovanni Cucchi, 21, of Bristol Township’s Croydon section, was preliminarily arraigned recently on charges aggravated assault, terroristic threats, firearms not to be carried without a license, criminal mischief, and harassment. He was preliminarily arraigned before District Judge Frank Peranteau Sr. and jailed on 10 percent of $100,000 bail.

The alleged incident occurred on the evening of October 27 after the game at the fields near Keystone Elementary School.

According to police, the driver of an Audi A4 reported being at a red light at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Route 13 when a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, driven by Cucchi, struck their vehicle from behind. The collision tore off the Audiโ€™s rear bumper.

The Audiโ€™s occupants recognized the Silverado as belonging to Cucchi, who was known to them from a previous dispute with a friend, police said.

Fearing a confrontation, the Audi driver fled the scene, heading north on Route 13 with Cucchi in pursuit, police said.

Authorities said the chase involved quick lane changes as the Audi tried to escape the Silverado that was following them.

Cucchi allegedly brandished a black pistol and pointed it at the fleeing car, according to court papers.

The Audi eventually made its way back toward Keystone Elementary where the occupants believed they would be safer and there was a remaining crowd from the football game, police said.

The chase ended when the Audi returned to the school and Cucchi ceased trailing them, police said.

Investigators said license plate cameras captured the vehicles traveling along Veterans Highway.
