Bensalem and Warrington townships have added automated red light enforcement systems at busy intersections over the past year.

Due to the high number of crashes and pedestrian injuries and deaths along Route 13, Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Falls Township, and Tullytown Borough police have increased enforcement along the busy roadway.

The proposed system, if implemented, could introduce new traffic safety option to the township, which features a number of busy roadways. Automated red light cameras are designed to capture images of vehicles that run red lights and led to tickets being issued.
