As of Monday, three of the four victims were still receiving treatment in hospitals and burn centers, according to Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry.
The cause of the blaze was being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police and Middletown Township Fire Marshal’s Office. No cause was determined as of Monday, per a state police spokesperson.
On Sunday, Jesse W. Soby American Legion Post 148, which located within sight of the fire scene in the 100 block of West Richardson Avenue, collected clothes for the families and financial donations that reportedly totaled close to $20,000.

Shannon Connelly, who was inside the duplex when the devastating fire happened, wrote on a GoFundMe that the family “lost everything.”
“We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support during this unimaginable time,” she wrote.
The money from that fundraiser will help cover medical bills, clothing, a new car, and replacement of some items needed for day-to-day life.

The fire was reported just before 5:15 a.m. Saturday and quickly spread throughout the stately structure that dated back to 1900.
Due to the intensity of the flames, firefighters from across lower and central Bucks County responded to the scene to put out the flames.

Several pets died in the fire.
The same home suffered a minor fire in mid-October. The cause of that fire remained under investigation and authorities had not determined if the two blazes were connected.
