Tullytown Borough officers were called to the church on Levittown Parkway around 10:57 p.m. following the alarm activation.
At the scene, an officer discovered an unlocked door leading to the church’s cafeteria, and a preliminary search of the area revealed no one present, police said.
A reverend arrived and stated that the cafeteria itself was not equipped with an alarm. He added that the system was installed only in the main church building, police said.

The reverend stated that he had secured the main church doors by 8:30 p.m. and no one should have been inside.
However, upon entering the main church, an officer spotted a black hat on an entryway table and noticed the door to a coat closet slightly ajar, police said.
