Three adults were hospitalized Wednesday evening after being attacked by a dog in Bristol Township’s Levittown section.

The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. in the 200 block of Dogwood Drive, according to police.
Ambulances from the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad transported the victims to area hospitals, police said.
The severity of their injuries was not known as of Thursday morning, but police said there were numerous lacerations to the victims noted at the scene.

Authorities have identified both the dog, a Pitbull mix, and its owner, police Lt. Sean Cosgrove said.
The investigation was ongoing as of Thursday.
