UPDATED: 6:14 p.m., Saturday:
A spokesperson for the business said the original seven-figure theft amount is significantly smaller. The initial information and high-dollar figure, they said, was due to a language barrier.
The business continues, as of Saturday evening, to work with police.

Original Story:
Falls Township police are investigating a very high-value theft that happened on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
According to police, officers responded around 3:55 p.m. to a theft call at Prime Check Cashing on Lincoln Highway.

Police said the suspects, believed to be two men, arrived at the business in a white Ford Econoline van with Pennsylvania license plate ZWS 6010.

The license plate was later confirmed to not belong to the vehicle, investigators said.

Witnesses reported that the suspects shattered the window of an employee’s unoccupied vehicle parked at the rear of the building. They then stole duffle bags filled with a “significant amount” of cash before fleeing northbound on Lincoln Highway, police reported.

A police spokesperson declined to release the dollar figure, but sources told LevittownNow.com it was at least $1 million in cash.

Investigators have released video footage and still images of the incident in hopes of identifying the suspects.
