
Residents looking for assistance with home repairs are invited to a workshop hosted by Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County.

The event will take place on Wednesday, August 28, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bristol Township Municipal Building at 2501 Bath Road.
With the program beginning at 10:30 a.m., the workshop will cover a range of essential home repairs, including updates to HVAC systems, roofing, plumbing, and electrical systems.
The informational session is part of an effort to assist residents who own and occupy homes but may struggle with the costs of necessary repairs.

Participants will earn about the Bucks County Home Repair Program, known pronounced “bee-chirp.”
The county program offers financial support to low-to-moderate income homeowners and will provide up to $50,000 for critical home modifications. Eligible updates include roofing repairs, plumbing and electrical system overhauls, heating system updates, and accessibility modifications such as ramps and grab bars.

The program can address the needs of between 120 and 150 homes throughout the county.
The program is funded by a $10 million budget from Pennsylvaniaโs Whole-Home Repair Program and local fiscal relief funds approved by the Bucks County Commissioners.
The Bucks County Home Repair Program is administered jointly by Capital Access Inc. and Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County.
