The traveling circus will pitch its big top tent at the Oxford Valley Mall parking lot from September 12 through September 15. The circus will offer multiple shows geared to thrill families.

The Middletown Township Board of Supervisors recently green-lit the circus’s return and granted a conditional use approval for its time at the mall.

The decision comes after previous similar events hosted in the same location.

This year’s lineup includes a variety of acts, from a globally acclaimed dog act that has appeared on “America’s Got Talent” to the world’s smallest person standing just 23 inches tall. Other highlights include a human cannonball and a death-defying performance by a seven-man team in the Globe of Death.

According to circus representatives, more than 60 performers from around the world will participate in the show, which lasts two hours.

In addition to the main acts, the event will feature inflatables for children.

“Be a part of the excitement at the Largest Circus on Earth … all under the World’s Largest Big Top Arena,” the circus’s promotional materials said.

Tickets for the event are priced between $14.50 and $65, with special offers available for free children’s tickets. For more information on tickets, click here.

Logistics for the event include setting up a few days prior and clean-up scheduled for the day after the circus performances end.

The circus staff will reside in RVs on site, and additional bathrooms will be brought in, a circus official told the township.

According to the circus official, the tent can hold up to 2,000 people, but attendance typically ranges from 800 to 1,000 people per show.

The mall parking lot has played host to Garden Brothers Nuclear Circus and another circus in recent years.
