Area police departments and municipalities have postponed or cancelled their planned Tuesday evening National Night Out events due to forecasts of storms.

Bristol Borough officials announced that their event has been postponed, with a new date to be announced in the near future.
In a social media post, Bristol Township officials confirmed the cancellation of their event.
“We are as bummed as everyone, and look forward to bringing our community together for a great time on Saturday, September 21st for our Fall Festival. Thank you everyone for understanding,” they said.

Falls Township officials have rescheduled their National Night Out festivities to Tuesday, August 13, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Falls Township Community Park. The event will feature law enforcement, vendors, music, pet rescues, kids activities, and more.
Middletown Township has moved its National Night Out event from this Tuesday to next Tuesday, August 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the municipal complex. More than 70 vendors are scheduled to participate.

Penndel Borough’s police department announced that they have rescheduled their event to Tuesday, August 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at borough hall.
National Night Out was established in 1984 and was designed to grow community-police partnerships, promote neighborhood unity, and provide crime prevention education. Traditionally held on the first Tuesday of August, the annual event attracts approximately 38 million attendees across the U.S., Canada, and American military facilities worldwide.
