

Some new details have been obtained by LevittownNow.com on the late Wednesday night incident that led to a shelter-in-place message being issued for part of Levittown.

Around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, many residents in Falls Township’s Levittown section received the alert from the county and township on their phones.
A heavy police presence was reported Wednesday night into Thursday’s morning on Village Lane and surrounding streets, according to reader reports.
The shelter-in-place order was lifted around 1 a.m. Thursday with no additional details released.

An official said there was no ongoing threat to residents in the area as of Friday.
“All we can say on this matter is that it was a domestic situation involving a firearm, and because a juvenile is involved, there is no more information we can release,” said Bucks County District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Manuel Gamiz Jr.

Gamiz stated that no shots were fired in the incident.
Falls Township police referred comment on the incident to the district attorney’s office.

Law enforcement sources said police were called to a home on Village Lane late Wednesday night for a reported domestic incident.

A teenage boy was reported to possibly be armed and may have made a threat, which led to a stepped up police response, the sources said.
Officers from Falls Township and other agencies searched the Vermillion Hills neighborhood for the teen, but he was not located there, the sources said.

As of Friday, it was unclear if the teen had been located or he is facing charges. The justice system for juveniles in Pennsylvania is not public in the same way it is for adult defendants.
The Bucks County Emergency Management Agency pushes warnings to phones in serious situations. Wednesday’s alert was the first in Levittown since the triple-homicide in March that led to a widespread shelter-in-place message being issued.
