Bucks County high school students are being called to participate in the 4th Annual Teen Safe Driving ROADeo, a regional safety event.

The ROADeo is scheduled for May 30 at the West Whiteland Police Department in Exton, PA.
The TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program, Chester County Highway Safety Project, Delaware County Transportation Management Association, and Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services is holding the fourth annual event in partnership with PennDOT District 6.
From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., participants will have the opportunity to explore various stations designed to educate them on road safety. The stations include a blind spot demonstration with a semi-truck, a defensive driving academy, and exercises on recognizing drug-impaired driving, among others. The event will also feature interactive activities like a mock traffic stop, a PennDOT work zone simulation, and a teen driving-themed game of Family Feud.

The event is free of charge for all Bucks County high school students, who must register in advance online at tmabucks.com. It is mandatory for students to be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21, such as a parent, teacher, or another designated chaperone.
“If your child is in high school this is something you want them to participate in,” explained TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program manager Carly Wible. “Students will enjoy food and drinks, participate in interactive demonstrations, and also have the chance to win some cool prizes and giveaways, all while learning to be safe drivers.”
